Conference Room Solution

Bring the camera, the laptop and the meeting endpoint together
Works with Tencent Meeting, Zoom and DingTalk

The problem in meeting rooms is never the software

It is the connectors — three generations of devices, three generations of ports

Four everyday meeting room problems

  • Laptop ports change every year: HDMI, USB-C and wireless all in one room
  • Large rooms: the camera sits farther from the host than an HDMI cable allows
  • Remote participants see a stuttering picture, and the meeting loses its rhythm
  • Multi-site meetings where picture and audio do not line up

Our approach

  • Direct capture: the ZY-UCH501 is driver-free USB 3.0, recognised as a camera by the meeting app
  • Long runs: ZY-CKH961 for 4K60 over 60 m of Cat5, or ZY-CH302 HDBaseT for 70 m
  • KVM back-channel: move the room PC into a rack so the table stays clean and fan noise never reaches the microphone
  • Multi-site linking: encoder and decoder pairs on a private network or over the internet

Signal Chain

Capture, extend, host, platform, remote site

2 · CaptureCapture card or Cat5 extender

4 · PlatformTencent Meeting / Zoom / DingTalk / own MCU

Retrofitting a single room usually only touches step 2: add a capture card or a pair of extenders and keep the software platform and endpoints you already run.

FAQ

Does it work with Tencent Meeting and Zoom?

Yes. The capture card presents the camera to the computer as a standard USB camera, so you simply pick it in the meeting app. The ZY-UCH501 needs no driver at all.

How do I connect a USB-C only laptop?

Use the ZY-UCH801 USB-C capture card, or cast over Wi-Fi with the wireless presenter. Neither requires a driver.

Can the room PC live outside the room?

Yes. A KVM extender moves the PC into a rack and leaves only a receiver and keyboard on the table. The room looks cleaner and the microphone stops picking up fan noise.

How do you keep multi-site meetings in sync?

Use the same encoder model and the same bitrate settings at every site, on the same class of link (private network preferred). Keep audio on the meeting system's own audio channel rather than tying it to the video.
